It should definitely be Christmas every day I swear!
It’s that time in the year that over 90% of the world’s population are good to each other. It’s that time of the year that most people think happy thoughts, when people spend tons of money buying gifts and prepping meals to make everyone around them happy and laughter, joy plus all the good spirits are lifted.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year as the song says and that’s so very true! It’s basically the best season in the year!
Can you tell I love Christmas?
This is my fourth Christmas in Germany and I can safely say it’s the best so far! I visited the Christmas market more times than I can count and I loved every second of it.
Apparently, there’s a Christmas market organized by the gay community and I was seriously hoping to visit it but that sadly never happened. Maybe next year?
The Mr and I discovered the Alter Markt in Altstadt and I must admit that it is the best Christmas market we ever visited.
We also got introduced to the Köln craft beer bar and good lawd was it incredible!! The beer selection while really amazing is sadly really expensive. I go so drunk afterwards and had the worst kind of hangover the next day. Glorious!
But it’s a bar to definitely try out if you are ever in the city.
I was hoping for some snow on Christmas day but the truth is if it does snow, I’m so not driving into the city for a church service. I will probably just walk to the church around the corner without having to dress up!
Hey, I’m very Nigerian and we like to dress up for special occasions and Christmas is a pretty good reason to dress up I’d say!
It’s Heiligabend and we are home the whole day, binging on Netflix watching the new Will Smith movie plus the Kiefer Sutherland series and Christmas carols from The Twinnies, José Feliciano, The Ronettes, and of course Bonnie M!
Tomorrow we rock it like couch potatoes, huge mugs of marshmallow Swiss miss and our favorite Christmas movie–Love Actually!
Merry Christmas y’all ?????
